Tiny and Snail Broken Pieces Sympathy Card

Tiny and Snail (est. 2017) is run by a sister team, Grace and Leah. They create joyful illustrations and believe that technology will never be as magical as a paper card. The road hasn’t been easy. In 2018, Leah/Tiny was in a life-altering accident while working her day job, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, which left her paralyzed from the chest down. In that brutal time, Tiny and Snail provided a life raft for them to cling onto. Their cards and art reflect the wonder of life and the ability to shine light into dark days.

“These things I cannot change. Not one of them. Can’t fix, can’t heal, can’t put the broken pieces back together. But what I can do is offer myself, wholehearted and present, to walk with the people I love through the fear and the mess.” -Shauna Neiquest

When we came across this quote by Shauna, it hit us solidly. So often we don’t know how to respond when tragedy strikes, but the best way we have found is just to be there – with your words, and love, and maybe a casserole. Let them know you are there for them, even in the brokenness.
